For workers

Fees and your rights

Your country’s law may cap what a manpower company can charge you. In Nepal, for jobs in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Malaysia, it is at most NPR 10,000.

Pay only against a receipt, and keep it: it is one of your papers for leaving your country (in Nepal, for the labour permit).

Your documents go to an employer abroad only after you agree, for that employer.

If an agency asks for more, or keeps your passport, complain to your country’s foreign employment office (in Nepal, the Department of Foreign Employment).

Still stuck? Ask the manpower company you applied to. A problem with them? On your application’s page, under “Something wrong?”, press “Report a problem”, or complain to your country’s foreign employment office (in Nepal, the Department of Foreign Employment: dofe.gov.np). Manpower companies and agencies write to WorkXBridge from their workspace.
